How are small route diversions processed?

To ensure the ADS-B prediction accounts for small diversions from the planned route, every point (including intermediates) will be calculated over a point cloud.

What this means is that, for each point, additional spatial discrepancy points will be added 7.5NM each side of the point perpendicular to the route and temporal discrepancy points will be added every minute up to 5 minutes before and after the expected time of arrival

This leads to a total of 33 points when the permutations of spatial and temporal discrepancies are taken into account. The ADS-B prediction will be calculated for all 33 points and the result we provide will be the worse case NIC and NACp values from these 33 calculations.
