1. Introduction
When using API service (SOAP or REST), I get an error code '401' after submittal of my request.
2. Detailed explanation
There are several reasons that may cause this error to be returned.
Check the ones hereunder and the proposed solution :
- No authentication details submitted
- Not authenticated due to incorrect username or password
à Check that your credentials are correct
à Use the password reset feature on homepage if you have forgot your password
- Not authorised due to expiry - all customers who are given api credentials will have an expiry date
à Check for your contract details
- Not authenticated due to connection timeout
à Submit again your request to the API, including the authentication details
